Today, Adelaide based fashion designer Katya Komarova, launches her new accessories collection in time for the Australian racing season.
Katya Komarova was inspired to design race-wear accessories after placing third in Myers Fashion on the Field wearing a headpiece she had designed and made herself.
The collection consists of bespoke headpieces and bags, all hand made to order by Katya at her studio in the Adelaide Hills.
Modern yet timeless, the new collection combines edgy lines with Royal Russian elegance; the perfect combination for the theatrics associated with fashion at the races.
The limited edition collection features natural products including cotton and high quality vegetable tanned leather.
This new collection is a preview of the labels shift towards focusing on sustainable accessories, something that has always been a goal of the designer.
“After experimenting with different textures and materials, I am coming back to the use of ecological vegetable tanned leather,” says Katya Komarova.
“The beauty of this leather keeps inspiring me by its natural beauty… its way of shaping and aging. ”
