As the ever glamorous ADL Fashion Week rolls around this spring, Ozin Restaurant is teaming up with South Australian handbag designer, Katya Komarova, for an exclusive event of all things sustainable fashion. ‘A Decade in the Making’, is a significant milestone for Katya’s brand, which has captured both local and international acclaim for its unique design philosophy and commitment to environmental sustainability.
Katya’s venture into fashion spans over two decades, beginning with her global collaborations, which led to a specialisation in leather craftsmanship. Her journey in bag making and design began in Florence and significantly shaped her creative outlook, leading her to establish her brand in Australia. Katya Komarova, the brand, stands out for its innovative, minimalistic designs that focus on sustainability and functionality, including features like stitch-free construction and interchangeable straps.
The event will be hosted by South Australian TV personality Rebecca Morse, who will chat with Katya in a deep-dive conversation about the brand’s journey from its inception to the current day. This dialogue will cover the roots, evolution, and significant milestones of the brand over the past decade. Attendees will get an exclusive look into the creative process, the principles of sustainability that underpin the brand’s operations, and its resonance on the global stage.
