Kayla Itsines launches new program for expecting mums

A new pregnancy program is the latest addition to wellness app, Sweat, created by Adelaide mum and fitness guru Kayla Itsines.

Adelaide’s own Kayla Itsines has taken the fitness world by storm with her programs run through the app, Sweat, and now she’s taking on a whole new clientele with the release of her newest program created especially for expecting mums.

Sweat’s first-ever pregnancy program was created to help women be the best and strongest version of themselves during pregnancy. While the program is still a work in progress, Kayla assures that isn’t too far away.

Headlining last week’s Women in Business – Mother’s Day Special Talk, Kayla alluded to that something was in the pipeline.

“May is about mothers and Mother’s Day and I think it’s a time for Swear to evolve and include that as a part of our business,” she said.

“With this, we’ll be covering the whole, rounded journey so a woman will have that whole experience with Sweat.”

The new program is due to be released within the next month or so and has been in the works for close to three years.

Kayla gave birth to her first child, Arna, in August 2020 and has been very open about struggling to navigate working out and keeping fit while pregnant. During her own pregnancy, Kayla worked closely with a health care professional to carefully design her workouts.

The new pregnancy program will join the huge library of workout plans available on Sweat which launched back in 2017 and has since grown to become the world’s largest women’s fitness community.
