KI Spirits ranks among world’s best winning Gold Outstanding Medal at awards ceremony

SA’s own KI Spirits have won one of 6 Gold Outstanding medal and has placed amoung world’s best at the biggest spirits awards competition in the world.

Australia’s first dedicated gin distillery, Kangaroo Island Spirits have been recognised at the biggest
spirits awards competition in the world.

The distilling team has been awarded the highest award, a Gold Outstanding medal, for its O Gin
at the 2023 International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).

Only 6 gins were awarded a Gold Outstanding medal this year, this is an incredible achievement for the SA brand.

Considered to be the Oscars of the global drinks industry, the IWSC is the world’s largest and most
prestigious international competition for spirits with thousands of entries from over 50 different
countries.

Kangaroo Island Spirits also received silver medals for its Old Tom Gin, Spiced Pudding Gin and
Whisky Barrel Aged Gin and Head Distiller Charlie Schmidt couldn’t be prouder.

“The competition was tough this year with a record number of entries, and it’s awesome to think that
our gin is one of the best in the world,” he says.

“These awards are a tribute to the dedication and to receive a score of 98 for our O Gin shows the
world our distilling talents here in Australia.”
