Koomo collaborating with The Lane and Hentley Farm for exclusive Tasting Australia events

Situated ten floors up from the hustle and bustle of Adelaide’s East End, Koomo is collaborating with The Lane and Hentley Farm for two evenings of exquisite food pairing.

This July, one of Adelaide’s most exciting restaurants, Koomo, is hosting two events in collaboration with two of South Australia’s celebrated wineries, The Lane, nestled in the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley’s Hentley Farm. 

Henley Farm owner Keith Hentschke and The Lane’s Head Winemaker Turon White will be present for their individual events, talking guests through each food and wine pairing, with both menus having been specially created for the Tasting Australia events by Koomo’s Executive Chef, Patrick Chung.

Both events will form part of the inaugural winter Tasting Australia series that showcases the world-class food and wine that SA has to offer.

Each menu features locally sourced ingredients such as Smoky Bay oysters and Hiramasa King Fish from Port Lincoln. 

Couples or groups can enjoy the luxury of these one-off dinner experiences amongst the clouds at Koomo, Adelaide’s highest restaurant situated on the 10th floor of the Crowne Plaza.

The sleek restaurant offers guests breathtaking views of the city’s landmarks as well as the beauty of the Adelaide Hills and is the perfect people-watching venue, looking over the hustle and bustle of Adelaide’s East End. 

7 July at 6pm – Koomo X Hentley Farm Dinner Experience 

Henley Farm’s owner, Keith Hentschke, and Koomo’s Executive Chef, Patrick Chung, have come together to produce an evening of exquisite wine-paired dishes, with Hentley Farm’s exceptional wines complementing the Asian-influenced dishes Koomo which make up Koomo’s stellar reputation.

The evening will commence with a welcome glass of Champagne accompanied by a fresh oyster shucking station from Samtass Bros Seafoods, and a selection of delicious canapés to whet your appetite ahead of the five-course dinner experience. 

Menu highlights will include torched Hiramasa Kingfish with oyster cream and wasabi, paired with Hentley Farm’s crisp Eden Valley Riesling 2021, and a show-stopping grilled Wagyu sirloin, paired with Hentley Farm’s Shiraz 2020. 

The contemporary Barossa Valley vineyard will be venturing out of their Seppeltsfield home, bringing their incredible wines to the CBD for one night of exquisite food pairing with one of Adelaide’s top Asian restaurants.

21 July at 6pm – Koomo X The Lane Dinner Experience 

With Koomo’s collaboration with stylish winery The Lane, the beauty of the Adelaide Hills will not only be in your eye line but in your glass, transporting you to the lush, rolling vineyards of the Hills through an evening of expert food and wine pairing.

Head Winemaker Turon White will join Koomo’s Executive Chef Patrick Chung for a five course culinary journey, kicking off with a glass of The Lane Blanc De Blanc 2015 alongside the Samtass Bros Seafoods fresh oyster shucking station. 

The Asian influenced menu will include mouth-watering dishes such as lobster dumplings served with a miso ramen bisque and a slow-cooked Gochujang lamb shoulder, paired expertly with The Lane 19th Meeting Cabernet Sauvignon. 

Tickets for both experiences start from $195pp with a range of seating options available throughout Koomo’s sleek interior, including a long shared table, communal high tables and private booths for a more intimate dinner setting.
