Korean BBQ restaurant Chunky Obba Gogi has released a special winter menu, just in time to keep you warm as the temperature drops.
For a long-time hot pot has been touted as the dish to share for those cold winter nights, but the team at Chunky Obba Gogi are bringing a taste of Korea with their new winter favourites to share.

South Korea often experiences harsh winters, so an emphasis on hearty ingredients, fermented foods and spices- which makes Korean cuisine just perfect for the colder weather.
One of the standouts on the new menu is a Korean beef tartare bibimbap. Bibimbap, literally meaning mixed with rice, contains a succulent beef tartare with various seasoned veggies, served over a steamy ball of rice.
Joining the Korean beef tartare bibimbap is a fish cake soup. Made with fresh seafood broth and quality ingredients, this is a perfect winter warmer.
Another addition to the new winter menu is a traditional fermented soybean stew that is not just a tasty soup but is an immunity booster. Perfect to help fight off those winter colds.

Introducing patrons to a familiar food but unique to a more Western palette, the owner’s favourite is one to try.
“My favourite is the pumpkin porridge,” owner Regina Wang recommends, “it’s warm and has a great texture.”

Opening last year, the CBD Korean BBQ restaurant has been at the forefront of introducing patrons to Korean food that they do not typically find in Adelaide.
Serving not just the regular cuts of meat that other Korean BBQ restaurants have, owners Regina and Sangmin have been setting their dishes apart with their unique menu and their special marinades.

“What makes Chunky Obba Gogi so great is our fresh and unique flavoured dishes and atmosphere we offer, great for friends, families and more,” says Regina.
“Our winter dishes such as pumpkin porridge and traditional soybean stew are so hearty and warm, they fill you up and aren’t too much on your stomach.”
If sitting around the grill with a group of friends, tasting a range of different meats, vegetables and broths sounds like the ultimate night out for the cold weather, then make sure you book a table at Chunky Obba Goji.
