KOYO is hosting bottomless lunches with a Japanese coal fired twist

KOYO is exploding onto the lunch scene, slinging bottomless Japanese lunches every Sunday, with mouthwatering beers and cuisine.

When it comes to weekends, there’s plenty of options across town for lunch needs. But none quite like this.

KOYO, a restaurant that brings the vibes of modern Asian cuisine to the heart of Prospect, is slinging bottomless lunches every Sunday. And it’s Japanese style.

The menu is jam-packed with mouthwatering, Japanese-inspired dishes. You can pick from the roast chicken, served with charred peppers and coriander buttermilk, the BBQ miso cauliflower, with macadamia cream, wakame chimichuri and puffed grains or the katsu pork curry with shredded cabbage.

Oh, and for the seafood lover, the udon noodle with Goolwa pipis, nori butter and charred lemon is not to be missed. And if you’re still hungry, you can add any side dish for only $5.

And with that, you can get 90 minutes of bottomless Japanese beers: Sapporo, a refreshing, crisp lager; or for something a bit different the Koshihikari rice beer, made from Niigata grown rice.

If beer is not your thing, there’s also the Alpino Prosecco, so you can toast with some sparkling. And, for the caffeine lovers, it also includes coffee so you can refill to your heart’s content.

The warm aesthetic of the venue is one of the draw cards.. KOYO – which means autumn in Japanese, incorporates all the principles of that seasonal change. From the colour scheme of burgundies, oranges and yellows, the transformative season that is autumn is symbolic of new life and growth.

If Sundays don’t work for you, you can indulge in the rest of this Japanese goodness every day of the week, with the restaurant open from 11am – 2:30pm and 5:30pm – 9:30pm.

So if you’re after a hearty Asian-fusion style lunch or a simple matcha latte, KOYO seems to have all the makings of your new favourite eatery.
