Kytons Launches Make Your Own Lamington Kits To Celebrate 80th Birthday!

Clear your diary. Kytons are celebrating their 80th birthday at the Royal Adelaide Show with some fantastic lamington-based fun.

As I type this, my keyboard is dancing with wispy coconut sprinkles, which have cascaded down from the mini lamington that I just obliterated. Maybe I smashed two of the little suckers. Either way, the Glam Adelaide office is filled with fans of Kyton’s amazing, iconic lamingtons, and we’re annihilating them to celebrate the news that Kytons has been a part of South Australian’s lives for 80 years. It’s just the South Aussie thing to do.

Whether you’re partial to Kyton’s lamingtons, their famous hot cross buns, their delightful Christmas range or something else from the famous SA bakery, Kytons has been a favourite for years (80 in fact) and has given South Australians some fond memories.

To celebrate their 80th birthday, Kytons are celebrating LARGE.

The first thing that has us all a frenzy, is that they’ve produced a “make your own” lamington kit which will be available to purchase at the Kytons stand in the Taste SA Pavilion at the Royal Adelaide Show! The kit contains sponge cake, dry “secret recipe” chocolate mix and coconut to give everyone a chance to try their hand at making lamingtons at home and celebrate the way Kytons lamington drives use to run back in the 80s.

They’ll be demonstrating how to use this fun kit at The Show throughout the week.

Also at the Show (as if we needed any more reasons to go) will be the famed mini-lamingtons, which will be for sale, alongside the rest of their fantastic range.

And what’s a birthday without a cake?! There will be an official cutting of an 80th Lamington (of course) birthday cake on Monday September 3rd at 1:30pm at the Kytons stand in the Taste SA pavilion. The cake designers from Edible Blooms will be creating the cake using Kytons lamingtons! We can’t wait to see what that looks like!

So while you all plan your Kytons plan-of-attack for The Show, I’m just going to sit here and finish off the pack of minis that have been screaming my name while I typed this article up…
