Award-winning Adelaide Hills winery, Paracombe Wines, has launched a program of ‘Fabulous Ladies High Teas’ to celebrate an earlier era while raising much-needed funds for worthy causes.
The inaugural high tea, presented in partnership with the Country Women’s Association (CWA), will take place in the spectacular surrounds of Paracombe Wines on Friday September 25, 2015.
The brainchild of Paracombe Wines’ Kathy Drogemuller, the event will feature an afternoon tea spread for which the CWA is legendary, along with five specially selected Paracombe wines to complement the fine fare.
In addition, Kathy will introduce guests to the Tanzania Maasai Women Art jewellery project which she supports by selling their beautiful beaded creations and so empowering the women and their community. A selection of Maasai jewellery will also be on display and for sale, with all proceeds going to the project.
The president of the CWA’s Adelaide Branch, Georgia Ross, will share highlights of the organisation’s history and work, plus the CWA will be displaying food, craft and some of their incredible wares.
“It promises to be a fabulous afternoon in every sense – a fine spread, CWA food and craft stall, the African jewellery on view and for sale and that warm glow that comes from supporting community in a fabulous way,” Kathy said.
