Grammy Award-winning country music powerhouse Lainey Wilson will make her long-awaited return to Adelaide next summer, bringing her Whirlwind World Tour to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Sunday 22 February 2026. The all-ages licensed event will also feature US country favourites Flatland Cavalry and Kaitlin Butts, making it one of the biggest country music line-ups to hit Adelaide in years.
Presented by Chugg Entertainment and Frontier Touring, the tour marks Wilson’s second visit to Australia after a hugely successful debut in 2024. That first trip saw her headline CMC Rocks QLD and play two sold-out nights in both Sydney and Melbourne. Her return in 2026 will be on a grander scale, celebrating the release of her forthcoming Whirlwind (Deluxe) album.
The expanded edition of her critically acclaimed Whirlwind album drops on 22 August 2025, exactly one year after the original release. It adds five new tracks to the original 14, including the poetic “Somewhere Over Laredo” and fan-favourite “Bell Bottoms Up”, further showcasing Wilson’s signature blend of rich storytelling and modern country flair.
Since first breaking through, Wilson has built an impressive list of achievements. In 2024 she won her first Grammy Award for Best Country Album, adding to multiple #1 Billboard singles, a platinum-selling catalogue, and her 2023 CMA Entertainer of the Year title — the first woman in over a decade to claim the award. Named Apple Music’s Global Artist of the Year, she’s become a leading voice for women in country music, known for her heartfelt songs and powerhouse performances.
Adelaide audiences will also be treated to sets from Flatland Cavalry, the Texas-based group who’ve earned praise from Rolling Stone as “one of the most dynamic presences in country music.” With six #1 singles on Texas Country Radio and more than 500 million streams, they’ve shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Luke Combs and Jordan Davis, and recently landed songs on the blockbuster soundtracks for Twisters and The Hunger Games.
Opening the night will be Kaitlin Butts, an Oklahoma native whose theatrical edge, soulful vocals and quick-fire humour have set her apart. Nominated for New Emerging Act at the 2024 Americana Awards and named in CMT’s Next Women of Country 2025, Butts is building a reputation as one to watch. Her latest album, Roadrunner!, signals a bold new chapter in her career.
The Whirlwind World Tour has already played to sold-out crowds across Europe and is heading to North America later this year before reaching Australian shores in February. With Adelaide’s show expected to sell quickly, fans are encouraged to secure tickets early.
Frontier Members presale opens 12pm local time on Tuesday 12 August, with general public tickets available from 1pm Friday 15 August via frontiertouring.com/laineywilson.
