Langhorne Creek Are Uncorking Some Old Favourites

On the 14th and 15th of August visitors to the region will have the rare opportunity to discover the back vintages and museum wines of Langhorne Creek whilst visiting the welcoming cellar doors throughout the region.
In addition to the cellar door tastings, masterclasses will be run at well known cellar door The Winehouse and feature winemaking identities Jimmy Watson trophy winner John Glaetzer and six generation winemaker Ben Potts. Leading fromager Sheree Sullivan of Udder Delights will also be sharing her wisdom in a masterclass. Bookings are essential for these exclusive events.

The winemakers who call The Winehouse, Langhorne Creek home bring you an exclusive one and a half hour long Cellar Treasures Master Class on August 14h 2010.
Join record holding four times Jimmy Watson winner and legend of the industry John Glaetzer along with young gun winemaker Ben Potts of Ben Potts Wines and viticulturist Brad Case of Kimbolton Wines.
Pulling the cork on rare and limited back vintage wines, you will have the opportunity to taste wines no longer available to the public and become involved as the Young Guns take on the Icon in a blind tasting. You will score the wines and see who comes out on top!
A relaxed round table experience, you will have the opportunity to chat directly with the winemakers, learn about industry trends, modern versus traditional winemaking practices and the history of the Langhorne Creek Wine Region.
Tickets for this master class are extremely limited, ensuring an intimate experience. Tickets $30 per person including the class, and wine tasting. 10.30am – 12.00pm
A Pott full of Udder Delights
The Winehouse, Langhorne Creek and Udder Delights Cheese Cellar have joined together for an exclusive one and a half hour long cheese and wine matching masterclass on August 15th 2010.
Conducted by Udder Delights founder and chief fomager, Sheree Sullivan, along with sixth generation winemaker Ben Potts from Gipsie Jack and Ben Potts Wines, they will talk, sniff and taste through all aspects of cheese and wine pairing. You will soon understand the complexities of the flavours required to create the perfect match!
