Langhorne Creek set to ‘Light Up’ as part of Cellar Treasures this August

As part of the 10 Days of Treasures program, the “Light up Langhorne Creek” event promises to be a fun, free, and glowing experience for all.

The annual Cellar Treasures festival in Langhorne Creek has always been a much-anticipated event among wine enthusiasts, but this year, the organizers have added a delightful twist to make it an inclusive and family-friendly affair.

As part of the 10 Days of Treasures program, the “Light up Langhorne Creek” event promises to be a fun, free, and glowing experience for all.

Set against the backdrop of a winter wonderland, the event invites visitors to take a leisurely stroll along the main street adorned with fairy lights, leading them to the enchanting Alfred Langhorne Park. Here, a three-day spectacle awaits, filled with wintery treats including hot chocolate and cinnamon donuts.

The ambiance will be elevated with live music and glow sticks, casting a radiant glow in the night sky.

It’s perfect for families, as it offers a friendly atmosphere where both young and old can revel in the magic of Langhorne Creek. The sparkling lights and captivating music will create a sense of wonder, providing the perfect backdrop for quality family time.

The event is a part of the larger Cellar Treasures festival, which has undergone a transformation to appeal to a broader audience. Previously catering mainly to wine connoisseurs, this year’s festival aims to entice anyone who appreciates food, wine, and fun.

The Langhorne Creek Grape and Wine Inc (LCGW) have worked tirelessly to curate a diverse program that showcases the region’s excellence in wine production and introduces visitors to innovative wine brands.

Greg Follett, the Executive Chair of LCGW and an award-winning winemaker, expressed his excitement about the changes to the festival.

“The Cellar Treasures team this year has created a brilliant blend of events so that everyone can relax, have fun, and enjoy some new and favorite wines at the same time. While families can go and explore the free light show and event at the Hangar, the serious wine-lovers can meet the producers or book in for a more intimate tasting experience.”

The fusion of traditional and modern elements in the Cellar Treasures program ensures there’s something for everyone.
