It’s as though someone read my innermost thoughts. The ones I’m trying to ignore when I’m hitting the gym at 5:30am. The ones which say “find a super comfy sofa, kick back and indulge in fried chicken, pizza, and nachos. Go on, you deserve it.” It looks like my time to shine has finally come, thanks to a new venue on the horizon called Couch Potato.
Located in Hindmarsh, at the site formerly occupied by My Tho City, Couch Potato is bringing some seriously stylish vibes to the area, in a venue that screams VISIT ME.
Filled with seating that beckons you to sink in and chill out, Couch Potato will be serving up, well, couch food.
With late night trading on the table, alongside a menu featuring boasting “delicious gourmet pizzas, big fat juicy burgers, mouthwatering fried chicken” and nachos, it’s definitely not a place to hit up if your health kick is in full swing.
The fit out is uber cosy, with the gents from @concretetimbersteel doing the interiors. Tiled tables sit alongside custom-made half-moon wet cast concrete tables. Wooden floors add to the venue’s warmth, and complement the golden velvet booth seating which invites you to stay a while. A serious amount of plants and retro couches complete the fit out, which glows with a variety of lampshades and inviting lighting.
