Fancy a date?? Le Souk has is offering the quickest one in town at its brand new eatery!
It’s a small step from its roots at their stall in the Adelaide Central Markets, but a giant leap into their beautiful new Gawler place residence; Its tall glass window frontage makes for the perfect place to enjoy a tradition Algerian mint tea.
Le Souk has broken the mould, expanded their empire and brought its deliciously North African cuisine to the Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian people of Adelaide! (don’t worry, there’s a stunning selection of food for everyone else out there too! – their 14 hour slow cooked lamb is mouth watering to say the least!)
“We are unique to Adelaide – no one offers food like us, with a wine selection like ours, in a place like this!” Says owner Azou Bouilouta.
And he’s absolutely right! – there are very few places in Adelaide where I’ve been offered a date within seconds of walking in the door, and serenaded with a sweet Arabic love song all before I’ve placed a coffee order!
The new cafe is charming and welcoming and dripping with authentic Algerian delights. Hospitality is served through Classics dishes like their twice-steamed couscous with lamb, chicken or their house-made Mergues sausage.

If you are a visitor of the original market stall, you needn’t worry, they will continue their trade there too – the atmosphere reflecting the name of the stall, Le Souk, meaning “the market”. Perfect!
If tea is not your cup of tea… then the 100% arabica coffee needs not be missed! Pair it with their delectable Parisian pastries – Bon appetit!
Or you may wish to enjoy a glass of wine with your meal – they boast an impressive selection of Australian and imported wines that will match any of the menu selections.
