French-based cooking school, Le Cordon Bleu, has just been named Oceania’s Best Culinary Training Institution in the 3rd annual World Culinary Awards.

With campuses in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Le Cordon Bleu has been the leading culinary training program in SA since it arrived 1992 as the first Australian campus.

Chosen by culinary professionals, media and consumers, the award recognises Le Cordon Bleu’s commitment to excellence through world-class training across Australia and New Zealand.

Le Cordon Bleu Australia’s Head of School – Culinary Arts and Sciences, Mark Veiga, says the global institution has had a presence in Oceania for more than 30 years and prides itself on educating the world’s upcoming culinary leaders.

“We are incredibly humbled to receive this award. It is a testament to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to deliver our leading culinary programs,” Mr Veiga says.

“Backed by generations of knowledge, our students are equipped with the best training by lecturers who have had years of experience not only in the classroom but on the field working in the finest kitchens.

“This win is not only for us, but our students who have gone on to do amazing things post-graduation.”

The awards ceremony is being held from December 11-17 at the Park Hyatt in Dubai, where industry leaders celebrate their place among the best of the best during a week of exquisite gastronomy.

Each year, industry heavyweights are critiqued by experts and consumers with winners named in a range of categories including Best Restaurant, Best Culinary Experience and Best Culinary Training Institution.

Le Cordon Bleu boasts four institutions across Australia and one in New Zealand with each campus featuring state-of-the-art training facilities where students are taught the art of cuisine and patisserie with a French flair.

Guided by expert chef lecturers, students are armed with all the tools and knowledge required to succeed in the exciting and ever-growing hospitality industry.
