Learn from the Barossa’s best creative minds at the Corryton Burge Long Lunch

Collaborating with some of the Barossa’s best businesses, indulge in pastry, cheese and wine while getting an insight into their creative minds.

In a world where hustle and speed prevail, it is not uncommon for us to find it hard to slow down, to switch off. Enter the long lunch. Created for the leisure-lovers, the long lunch gives its participants a chance to stop and linger in the moment. To truly appreciate what is before them – the food, the friends, the feeling. It’s this sentiment that Corryton Burge invites you to relish in at its upcoming ‘Câreme, Cheese, Colour and Corryton Burge Quintessential Long-Lunch’.

Held at Corryton Burge’s idyllic Barossa cellar door, the family-owned winemakers will be joined by a hand-picked collection of long-lunch extraordinaires for an afternoon of winding down and soaking up the finer things in life.

Upon arrival, you’ll notice the bright, bliss-inducing colours of the tables. The mood is instantly created by the bold, coloured patterns that drape the setting of your afternoon Alice MacGillivray spends her days styling and decorating the perfect table settings through her Barossa-based business, Bright Threads, and brings life and excitement to any occasion.

Canapes and sparkling will begin the four-hour event where you’ll be treated to a specially curated menu featuring Barossa’s own Câreme Pastry – creators of artisan, hand-crafted pastry – and finished with a round of curated cheeses from Barossa Cheese to complete the afternoon.

A staple on the Barossa food scene, Victoria’s passion for cheese was born during her time in France and her artisan cheese creations all made on-site at her Angaston cheese cellar.

And while lunch is often centred around the food, what’s a long lunch without a nice drop? Trent and Amelia Burge have expertly chosen a selection of their finest wines from the new family wine brand that is Corryton Burge.

As important as the food, a long lunch is nothing without great company. The time serves as a chance for conversations to flow and ideas to be shared between like-minded strangers who soon become friends. A portion of the day will be spent picking the brains of the creative women behind the brands, allowing you an insight into what it takes to start a business, build a brand or host a long lunch of your own.

To celebrate the colourful collaboration of these four fabulous Barossa businesses, and their love of a long-lunch, they are giving away a prize pack for one lucky person and a friend!
