If you can’t fly to Latin America, Latino Grooves Dance Studio is bringing the authentic spirit of Latin America to you!
Prepare to dance under the stars at Baila Latino in the Park – a wonderful opportunity for dancers, non-dancers, and families alike to experience the magic of Latin dance.
Head down to Light Square on Saturday 19 February, and you will find a large outdoor dance floor awaiting your arrival. Live music by Socialbeat and DJ Hugo Salcedo will be setting the scene, making way for a bunch of high-energy live dance performances.
The event is described as an “explosive cocktail of Latin rhythms, Caribbean breezes and funky New York vibes”, but Co-Director of Latino Grooves Julia Gonzales says the event is also suited to families.
“The event will be very casual and family-friendly, with a live band and some dance shows,” said Julia.
“We will start with a beginners dance class. It will be very chill, so bring a picnic and some nibbles if you just want to watch!”
The event will also have drinks available to purchase on site, should you want to upgrade that picnic.
Baila Latino in the Park will certainly attract some experience dancers to the dancefloor, but you do not have to have any dancing experience to join in on the festivities.

Latin Grooves Dance Studio has been operating for 16 years, bringing Latin culture to Adelaide. The studio provides weekly dance classes in Salsa, Bachata, Brazilian Samba, Cuban Salsa, Latin Hip Hop and more.
As well as classes, the studio does a range of events, functions, and entertainment – known for its high-quality Latin entertainment with live bands, DJs, percussionists, Latin and Brazilian dancers.
