The Queen of Power Ballads and Canadian best-selling musical artist of all time, Céline Dion, has posted a TikTok documenting songs on her Playlist that “set my heart on fire.” Adelaide’s own Guy Sebastian has struck “gold” with his 2018 hit single ‘Before I Go’, being named as one of the first tracks on this prestigious list.
“I love sooo much Guy Sebastian! Guy Sebastian, do you write songs for other people?” Ms Dion inquired with whole-hearted intrigue and an adoring close-up.
The clip is quickly reaching viral status, with over seven-million views on TikTok. The list also includes: Rhianna’s ‘Love On The Brain’ (“First of all, that should have been mine, I’m just saying,” she quipped), Lauren Daigle’s ‘You Say’, Metallica’s ‘Until It Sleeps’ (“Eddy, one of my twins, his favourite band is Metallica, and I want to sing a Metallica song,” she disclosed), James Blunt’s ‘You’re Beautiful’ (“I can’t talk too much about James Blunt because, I’m going to start crying. Can you write a song for me too? Thanks,”), and Celeste’s ‘Stop This Flame’ (“You are amazing, she is great! C-C, two C’s together, we can do something” Céline also offered).
Guy Sebastian rose to fame after winning the first season of Australian Idol back in 2003, and has since released eleven top ten albums, including three number ones. He’s got multiple platinum singles, including Battle Scars, which went platinum in the US.
Of course, Guy responded to Celine, commenting, “I’ve watched this clip 1000x. No one comes close to you! Thanks for the shout out, Queen.”
Now all we can ask is, “Will there be a collaboration in sight for Guy Sebastian and Céline Dion?” Hopefully, this potential anthem ‘Can Come Together Now’, in the meantime, listen to Guy’s 100 Times Around The Sun right now, and be sure to attend the album launch at Adelaide Entertainment Centre on May 11.
