Leigh Street Wine Room will be hosting a wholesome shop up pop up this Sunday celebrating the vines of the Adelaide Hills with proceeds going towards Movember as the month wraps up.

This Sunday November 28 from 1pm-4pm, the Leigh Street venue is collaborating with its online store Juice Traders to expand its wine offerings. The team will be pouring delicious drops, serving up yummy snacks and selling wines at retail price.

While Leigh Street Wine Room’s wine list normally features a range of international, interstate and state-wide wines, they are switching things up this week offering only Adelaide Hills products.

“We are trying to feature as many of the fantastic Adelaide Hills producers as possible,” restaurant manager Nicola Calvert said.

“We want to have a regional focus for SA to give a bit more exposure for people who might not be able to get out to places like McLaren Vale and Barossa. Casual events like these get that nice focus happening.

“We’ll have a few wine makers that might not ordinary be at Leigh Street Wine Room too but may be found on Juice Traders.”

Juice traders is an online store that Leigh Street Wine Room owners started in the first lockdown last year. Nicola said it was a way to sell their products as well while continuing to support distributors.

“Because it’s online at retail prices, everything is cheaper than if you buy it here,” Nicola said.

“From our venue, we have a takeaway license at restaurant prices which is different to online; but on Sunday we will be selling wines at Juice Traders’ prices from 1pm to 4pm.”

They’ll be pouring for a good cause with $2 from every transaction going towards Movember.

“With the event happening on the last Sunday of Movember, we wanted to help raise funds for that,” Nicola said.

Suicide and men’s health is something that doesn’t get spoke about enough and it’s something that’s close to home here with us too.”

As a part of the pop up, Leigh Street Wine room will have winemakers dropping in to chat with Whisson Lake, Borachio, The Other Right, Basket Range Wines, Gentle Folk and Murdoch Hill. There will also be Daniel Cox from Mischief Brew with his new soft drinks and Mark Regginato with Ambleside Gin.

There will be a small snacks menu available to purchase including marinated olives, 18 month aged San Daniele Prosciutto and Ricotta dumplings to go along with the glorious wine.

Head to Leigh Street Wine Room for a delicious drop at special prices, tasty snacks to enjoy in the sun and wholesome chats with the regions’ finest.

Leigh Street Wine Room is located at 9 Leigh St, Adelaide.

You can book in for the Pop Up Shop Up Event which is Sunday November 28 here.
