The revered, long-standing restaurant has had a huge amount of momentum lately. After recently claiming an Adelaide Dining Magazine hall of fame spot, and now its first Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG) Chef Hat, Lenzerheide is looking unstoppable.
In January, it was announced that Lenzerheide had been included in the AGFG 2025 SA Restaurant Awards, which celebrates the top 1% of restaurants across the country. It was awarded a coveted 13 Chef Hats, meaning ‘great restaurants in their category – commended’.

Co-owner Tim Pearson said, “This milestone would not have been possible without the continued support of our loyal guests. Your love for fine dining and appreciation for the little details inspire us to reach new heights every day. We invite you to join us in celebrating this incredible achievement.”
“It’s a huge achievement, especially being a nationally recognised award,” Pearson said. “It’s fantastic to be recognised. It’s good for the staff, it’s good for the customers, and it’s good for the business. It’s been really exciting.”

Late last year, the restaurant switched it up, offering new five and seven-course degustation menus, along with an updated a la carte menu. Pearson said, “It’s been really positive since we’ve changed up the menu. We’re definitely moving in the direction that we needed to move.”
“It’s been difficult to hold on to the historical side as well. We didn’t want to dismiss that by any means, especially since it’s worked so well for so long,” said Pearson. “That’s probably been the biggest challenge, but I think we’ve executed it, and it’s definitely been the right choice to push the business towards its next 30 years.”
“It feels like we’re ticking all the boxes,” Pearson said.

The restaurant’s new era is focused on blending contemporary techniques with timeless culinary traditions. It has perfected the mix between tried and true traditions and pushing forwards into a new gastronomical chapter. Lenzerheide has maintained a long-standing emphasis on locally sourced, high-quality ingredients showcasing the best of South Australia’s produce with a commitment to seasonality and exceptional quality. Led by Head Chef Ruby Hattam, the team is dedicated to pushing boundaries and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Pearson says, “Book a table and experience firsthand the dedication, passion, and artistry that earned us the Chef Hat Award. Whether it’s a romantic evening, a special celebration, or simply a night out to indulge, Lenzerheide Restaurant promises a dining experience to remember.”
