Do you enjoy French aperitif? Charcuterie? Friendly French faces? Then should probably visit Les Deux Coqs market stall. Opening soon, a stall in the Adelaide Central Markets with a variety of French specialties and loved recipes.

Les Deux Coqs (“The Two Roosters”) is a fine épicerie which offers authentic, Artisanal French food made with South Australian local products without preservatives or additives, such as savoury terrines, rillettes, saucissons, tapenades, sweet spreads and biscuits.

Their speciality? The famous French aperitif. Especially enjoyed during summer, the French love to take time off to enjoy an aperitif with a fresh baguette and a big glass of wine. Now to be enjoyed at their new spot at the Adelaide Central Markets.

They plan on opening their stall at the end of May-beginning of June.  Bastien and Katia are doing most of the work themselves, which Bastien said makes the opening process more exciting shaping it directly for their customers. Their stall will include an on-site kitchen fit with a talented French chef specialising in French cooking.

Lucky for us, Bastien and Katia fell in love with South Australia and decided to open their business here, to share their passion for high-quality ingredients and delicious food with customers.

There will be a focus on their popular and loved preserved range of goodies and plenty of charcuterie. Part of their stall will be dedicated to small fresh goods, baguettes, ready to cook meals and fresh pastries (yum!!).

They’re currently trialling some new things and sending samples to friends in the country for feedback, so keep your eyes peeled.

Of course, there will be a range of charcuterie, saucisson, black and white pudding as well as seasonal specials. Think deliciously warming soups for winter and fresh salads for summer.

Bastien and his partner Katia started the story of Les Deux Coqs in a beautiful village in Burgundy, France. Bastien spent a lot of his childhood at his grandparent’s house where he used to cook with his grandma at their pig farm making many kinds of terrines, rillettes, and saucissons.

More exciting things to come, head to their Instagram or Facebook page to stay updated.

Les Duex Coqs will Stall 2, Adelaide Central Market 44-60 Gouger Street Adelaide.
