We’ve already talked about how excited we are to get warm with wine this Adelaide Hill’s Winter Reds season, but now we’re getting ready to downright indulge.

Paracombe Wines are a hidden gem of a winery, usually only accessible by appointment only. Its nestled in the hills a little further out from where you might usually explore and boast some of the most spectacular scenery.

This year, they’re keen to spoil you rotten with their Winter Reds event, consider us spoilt.

Get ready to pamper yourself and dive into a gorgeously flavoursome winter comfort menu of slow braised lamb ragu, mashed potato, and seasonal vegetables or succulent chicken breast, with sweet potato mash and seared asparagus.

They’re even catering for vegetarians with a vege dahl on a bed of basmati rice, topped with minted chutney. If that doesn’t get your tastebuds dancing, you’ll also get to satisfy your sweet tooth with locally sourced apple and pear crumble and the highly anticipated Chocolate Somerville Experience which will see you indulge in a variety of chocolate delicacies alongside the 2010 Paracombe Somerville Shiraz.

For the wine lovers, with the Somerville Shiraz taking centre stage, surround yourself with the aromas of mulberry, rich coffee and dark chocolate in a mix of fruit and spice. Other Paracombe wines to accentuate your dinner will include the extraordinary Pinot Noir Chardonnay Sparkling made from 25 years of back vintages, the sumptuous Pinot Gris.

If a glass of red is more your call, the highly awarded single vineyard Cabernet Franc will be there alongside the single vineyard Tempranillo.
