Back by popular demand, Strut & Fret’s sensational circus show LIMBO is set to headline The Garden of Unearthly Delights at the Adelaide Fringe. With its genre-defying mix of circus, acrobatics, live music, and jaw-dropping stunts, LIMBO is set to seduce Adelaide audiences once more.
Since first premiering at the Adelaide Fringe in 2013, LIMBO became a crowd favourite, launching a world tour that spanned five continents and 17 countries. After an incredible 2024 reformation and critically acclaimed seasons in Sydney and Brisbane, the show is returning to its “spiritual home”, the iconic Spiegeltent, to deliver an epic, immersive experience. This time, LIMBO will open a week before the official start of the Fringe, running from February 14th through March 23rd for 44 sessions.
The 2025 iteration of LIMBO is a reimagined version of the award-winning festival favourite, featuring an international cast of circus and music superstars. Audiences will be treated to incredible aerials, stunning dance performances, and daring stunts, all set to an electrifying live soundtrack. The show will once again feature New York composer and Jank-maestro Sxip Shirey, who leads the three-piece live band.
“Adelaide audiences hold a special place in my heart, as they were the first to ever hear and see LIMBO, and they are a joy to play for,” Shirey said.
“Performing as part of the Fringe is always wonderful, being surrounded by incredible shows, in the wonderland that is The Garden of Unearthly Delights, it feels like coming home. I think this version of the show is the best it’s ever been and I can’t wait to be back sharing it with Adelaide.”
As the line between heaven and hell blurs, audiences are transported to an otherworldly realm, where they’ll be mesmerised by the stunning artistry and acrobatic brilliance on display. The combination of heart-pounding live music and gravity-defying performances delivers a sensory overload that is sure to leave audiences on the edge of their seats. To sum LIMBO up, it’s “the show so hot Madonna came twice.”
