Lime’s “Helmet Hub” offers free, customisable helmets for riders in Adelaide this week

Lime is bringing an exciting community event to the streets of Adelaide this week, allowing riders to design complimentary custom helmets.

Lime, the company behind those eye-catching green bikes and scooters you’re bound to see in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, is bringing an exciting community event to the streets of Adelaide this week. Rolling into the CBD on Tuesday, February 25th, with an event that promotes safety and creativity, Lime’s “Helmet Hub” invites locals to personalise their very own complementary Lime helmet.

For cyclists and scooter riders travelling in an urban city like Adelaide, there’s nothing more important than protecting yourself with a solid helmet. If your daily commute involves cruising through town in the open air, why not dress up your headgear with a bit of personal flavour and bling.

If you head down to the corner of Pulteney and Rundle Street between 11am and 2pm on Tuesday, Lime will give you a free helmet along with a collection of locally inspired decorative stickers, so you can show off your personality and city pride while (safely) cruising around town.

Helmet Hub is Lime’s way of encouraging the Adelaide community to share and wear their unique designs while reinforcing a culture of safe and responsible riding, fostering a buzz around safety and creativity. Pimp your protective headdress with an AFL football, a meat pie, a matcha latte or a croissant. Or, keep it local and champion the Adelaide name with a Malls Balls sticker – the helmet’s your oyster.

Lime’s Senior Director of Government Relations, Will Peters, said “We want to make helmet wearing fun so that it becomes something riders feel connected to.”

“By letting riders add their personal touch to a complimentary helmet, we’re not just promoting safety, but also giving them a chance to showcase what makes them and their city unique.”

“Lime has always advocated for safe and responsible riding, and we want Adelaide to be part of the green team and get in on the fun.”

While Lime doesn’t currently operate in Adelaide (yet?), their Helmet Hub event reflects the company’s dedication to spreading safe micromobility across Australia.

There will be a limited number of helmets and stickers available, so Lime recommends arriving early so you don’t miss out on the chance to design your own helmet.
