Lindsay Wine Estate is firing up the wood-oven every weekend in December

Lindsay Wine Estate will be slinging wood-fired pizzas, straight from their stone oven to go with their delicious wines, each weekend throughout December.

There’s nothing better than a lazy afternoon amongst the vineyards, with a glass of wine in hand, and a fresh, hand-made pizza to round-out the weekend.

In the lead up to Christmas, much-loved winery, Lindsay Wine Estate will be offering just this, by slinging delicious wood-fired pizzas, straight from their stone oven, each weekend throughout December.

The Barossa Valley winery is firing up their oven throughout the festive season so you can pair your favourite Lindsay Estate wine with a delicious lunch with family or friends.

Lindsay Wine Estate is the creation of good mates Matt and Will, who share a passion of music, art and wine, which is reflected throughout the venue.

Their cellar door presents the perfect weekend vibe, featuring The Alchemy Bar (which can be booked for larger groups) and The Alchemy Deck that overlooks the vines, with their wood oven in view, so you can watch your pizza as it comes fresh out of the fire.

Their menu offerings include their mouth-watering fennel salami with fior di latte, kalamata olives and San Marzano tomato, as well as their ‘FunGuy’, that boasts a black truffled mushroom base, mascarpone, thyme & a touch of lemon zest.

Keeping things ‘simplistic’, their Neapolitan-style pizzas feature ingredients that are locally sourced, as well as produce direct from Italy.

The duo perfected their pizzas over the winter break, and are now ready to share their handmade offerings to the public.

Wine tastings of six varieties are available to sample at their cellar door, which are also on offer to purchase to wash down your pizza.

When asked of a recommended vino and pizza combo, Matt says, “my personal favourite is the FunGuy with a glass of our Rosé – the citrus zest on the FunGuy works well with the watermelon and peach characters of the Rosé”.

The ambience includes a selection of some 6,000 records that have been collected between the pair, with the music continuously flowing, to create that perfect weekend vibe.

Sunday December 19th, will see their resident DJ, ‘The Captain’ spinning tunes all day, with lawn games, table tennis and a hole in one available each weekend to keep the kids (and adults) entertained.

Adding to the fun, and a reflection of their family-orientated feels, they’ve freshly mowed their ‘LCG’ (Lindsay Cricket Ground), creating a pitch where you can grab your bat and ball and enjoy a hit of cricket!

This is the perfect family-friendly venue to enjoy within the heart of the Barossa, so make sure to put this one on your list for your next trip to the region.

Pizza weekends at Lindsay Wine Estate will run each weekend through December from 11:30am till 3:30pm (or until sold out).
