Lip Bites by Jego presents food delivery at its finest

NEW local food delivery service, Lip Bites by Jego, are taking weekly orders for their delicious chef-inspired meals, to help you get through iso.

With many people being stuck isolating at home and slowly getting over cooking their own meal every single day – it’s easy for those restaurant-prepared dinner craves to set in (especially after one too many spag bols!).

Luckily, new local food delivery service Lip Bites by Jego has been taking weekly orders for their delicious chef-inspired meals.

Launched in November last year, their ever-changing weekly menu means you’ll never be bored of what they have on offer.

Owner Jego Loreto says their evolving selection of ‘weekly bites’ includes a mix of cuisines like Asian, Italian, modern Australian and American, with a nod to his Filipino roots being the latest addition.

“Recently, I’ve introduced a Filipino concept, where I include one or two Filipino dishes on the menu”, Jego says.

“These are dishes that I grew up eating, and what the people around me are cooking, and it’s dishes that I’ve learnt how to cook from my uncles and grandma and parents – everyone around me are good cooks!”, he says.

Taking orders on Tuesdays, with delivery on Sundays, Jego is passionate too about sustainability, with every meal delivered in glass containers.

“Upon starting the business, I’ve seen a lot of meal prep services that have a lot of waste”, Jego says.

“I’d like to eat out of a glass container myself, rather than a plastic one and having waste”.

The heat and eat meals can be ordered in 5 or 10 packs, with customers able to choose from a variety of delicious selections updated each week.

Menu items like their beef pares, a delicious serving of beef brisket, braised in soy sauce and served with fried garlic rice and steamed greens, are enough to get the taste buds tantalised.

Traditional Filipino noodles stir-fry, bagnet pansit canton is also one of the latest ‘home-inspired’ additions, and is topped with crispy crackling roast pork belly – yum!

Jego has worked at various cafes and restaurants across Adelaide, including at the Adelaide Oval, taking his inspiration from the eateries he’s come from.

“I was very lucky to learn a lot”, Jego says.

Focusing on catering for families, Lip Bites will also be looking to establish a kids menu in the coming months, ensuring even the littlest of mouths are fed and kept happy.

So if you’re looking for a delicious, restaurant-quality meal from the comfort of your own home, check out the menu at Lip Bites by Jego, and get ready wipe the drool from your chin!
