The tour, spanning nine cities, will commence in Sydney on Saturday, September 7th, and will journey through Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Newcastle, Melbourne, Hobart, before concluding in Perth.

David Walliams stands tall as one of Britain’s entertainment legends. His brainchild, Little Britain, crafted alongside Matt Lucas, commemorates its 20th anniversary this year, boasting a plethora of international accolades, including three prestigious BAFTAs, and a global presence in over 100 countries. Following this triumph, Walliams co-created the widely adored comedy series, Come Fly with Me. His tenure as a judge on the immensely popular ITV talent extravaganza Britain’s Got Talent commenced in 2012, extending to Australia’s Got Talent in 2022.

From his unforgettable roles in Little Britain and Come Fly with Me to his side-splitting narratives found in best-selling novels such as The Boy in the Dress and Gangsta Granny, Walliams’ comedic genius has entranced audiences of all ages for the past two decades.

“Audiences down under are the best. Matt and I had the greatest time touring Little Britain in Australia, and so I am delighted to be back on the stage here,” David said.

“I have never done a show like this before, which makes it all the more exciting. I promise there will be lots of laughs, stories I have never told before and a chance for you to ask me anything you want. I will be expecting some rude questions! And I can’t wait to see you all there.”

Walliams was also responsible for a literary revolution in children’s literature, emerging as one of the most influential writers in the genre today. Since the groundbreaking release of his inaugural novel, The Boy in the Dress (2008), Walliams has witnessed unparalleled success, with worldwide sales surpassing 56 million copies. His literary repertoire, comprising 40 titles translated into 55 languages, includes notable charity releases like Blob (World Book Day 2017) and The Queen’s Orang-utan (Comic Relief 2015). Notably, Walliams has basked in the limelight of the overall book charts for 79 weeks (non-consecutive) and the Children’s charts for 241 weeks (non-consecutive) – a feat unmatched by any other children’s author.

Beyond the realm of literature, David Walliams’ influence transcends into one of the UK’s premier multimedia entertainment brands. His literary universe extends to licensed merchandise, television adaptations, stage productions, arena spectacles, and the esteemed Gangsta Granny-themed attraction at the Alton Towers resort. With an unparalleled ability to engage and enchant children across diverse platforms, David Walliams continues to leave an indelible mark on the entertainment landscape.
