There’s no better way to wind-out your week, than relaxing with a couple of bevvies and listening to the soulful sounds of local artists.
Live music Friday’s at Grizzly Greenhouse is where you can do just that, with the recently opened coffee and plant store now presenting some of Adelaide’s best local musicians.
Unwind at Grizzly’s from 7pm with wood oven pizzas and drink specials all night, with live and free music to entertain you as you sit amongst the foliage.
Based in the heart of the city, the store brings plant and homewares shopping to a whole new level, with barista made coffee, beer, wine and spirits all available whilst you browse.
Planting its roots on Waymouth Street, the greenhouse-cafe is going beyond the plant realm with their latest Friday night, live entertainment offering.
The store itself sells an array of plant walls and individual indoor and outdoor plants, with the space also homing a small café that features a bar of local booze.
Customers can grab a quick bite and a coffee whilst exploring their tables, chairs, and colourful padded stools made by Grizzly Greenhouse, all available to purchase. Curated vertical plant walls to adorn homes are also on show.
With homewares, snacks, and beverages sorted, Grizzly Greenhouse is tackling many spaces. Owner Tom Prokotec attributes his multi-faceted approach to his genetics.
“I come from a creative family – blacksmiths, artists, my dad was a furniture maker pretty much, so it’s kind of in my blood,” he says.
Prokotec is a landscaper and landscape designer. He first started making vertical green walls two years ago through side project Grizzly Green Walls, and he has since worked to create plant spaces with hotels, bars, and cafés, such as Yolk. Each wall is made with recycled felt panels, and upon purchase, customers can choose plants to fill them.
The space itself is vast and welcoming, “it’s a big, comfy place for people to come and share in the passion for plants and coffee, pretty much,” Prokotec says.
