Liza Emanuele has announced that her winter collection, MY FAVOURITE THINGS will launch at a show-stopper fashion event at the Ice Arena on Tuesday, 5 June 2012.
Renowned for choosing iconic venues as a backdrop to showcase her collections, the designer admits this is the most novel location since she launched her annual “show stopper fashion concept” at the Capri Theatre more than 10 years ago.
These events, which traditionally have launched her summer collections, have become synonymous with her label and she is thrilled to be associated with the Ice Arena, determined to have guests leave saying WOW!
“The Ice Arena holds personal charm to me as it featured strongly in my early years. I’ve wanted to do a show there for some time, and this year felt right because I am so excited and proud of my winter collection – I felt it deserved the focus,” said Liza.
This show also coincides with the exciting announcement that Liza has accepted a role as an ambassador for Variety, the Children’s Charity which assists South Australian children to live, laugh and learn.
“This event marks the first of hopefully many unique fashion experiences that will contribute to Variety’s profile and help generate donations.”
“Variety ticked all the boxes for me– this association allows me to give back and support children which is very close to my heart,” said Liza. Liza will breathe winter delight into her beautiful collection.
Expect to see glamorous silhouettes, eye- popping colour that is sophisticated and sexy, flattering tunics and pea-coats in graphic prints and the must have lurex threaded-tweed cape and a convertible coat.
Liza’s signature style sexy dresses that take you from day to play and gorgeous bridal gowns will also be on show.
Guests will see menswear by Ivy League and shoes by Regina Sole Queen with hair styling by the fabulous Chris Geracitano from Hair Machine and makeup by the Celcius team.
This show could not be happening without the generous support from team of professionals and sponsors who have donated time, funds, equipment and effort to pull off the mammoth backend aspects required to produce a show of this calibre said Liza.
“The Adelaide Casino, Hair Machine, AJ Sound, Little Lion Communications, Finesse Models, Global Stage, Fashion Squared and of course the Ice Arena have all contributed in some way to make this event possible, and they all deserve to be supported and acknowledged,” said Liza.
Two fashion shows will run on the Tuesday night. Show 1 starts at 6pm and Show 2 starts at 8.00pm.
Tickets cost $28 each, with every person receiving a $50 voucher to use on the collection – so essentially the ticket is free if you buy! Nett proceeds will go to Variety.
