One of South Australia’s leading fashion designers, Liza Emanuele, will be showcasing her newest collection at the Adelaide Fashion Festival SA Designer Showcase this Sunday.
Liza is well known across Australia and the globe for her trademark high-end glamour, and you can bet your highest heels that she’ll be bringing that va va voom to the Showcase. Her career in the fashion industry, which began at the Instituto Maragoni in Milan, spans over 20 years, and her eponymous label celebrates its 10th birthday in 2015. This kind of experience and success is unparalleled in South Australia, except, of course, by Adelaide’s darling duo George Gross and Harry Watt (the design team of which, ironically, Liza once worked for).
The world-renowned pair who retired their famous clothing lines George Gross and Harry Who in January this year stepped out of retirement to work with Liza on her new collection. With the three gifted designers putting their brilliant brains together, there’s no doubt that this could be Liza’s greatest collection yet.
Of the partnership, Liza says that she feels like the “luckiest girl in the world to be working with two fashion icons.”
She says “Since I was 15 years old, George and Harry have been my fashion idols. To have this amazing opportunity has been a dream come true.
I decided to call this current collection “MAKE MAGIC” as that’s what I felt we were doing. Every time they walk into my studio it’s like electricity! I am enjoying my work more than ever.”
She says that the duo have played a big part in the growth of Liza Emanuele, as they have “introduced me to new, amazing international suppliers, improved my cut & fit and broadened my market.
They have also endorsed my brand to their past VIP clients, which has opened my audience hugely, resulting in wonderful quick growth.”
Stars such as Delta Goodrem, Sophie Monk, Isabel Lucas, Holly Brisley, Evangeline Lilly and Glam’s own Kelly Noble have worn Liza’s previous collections. There’s no telling which stars will be clamoring for Liza’s newest, most magical collection yet.
The SA Designers Showcase presented by Renniks Hire is the Festival’s premiere event.
