Liza Waves Fashion Wand Over The Fairies On Eve Of Christmas Tour

The Fairies have today announced that Liza Emanuele is the new designer for The Fairies and revealed the gorgeous new bespoke fairy-dresses for the much loved idols of little girls around the world – Harmony and Rhapsody.

The fashion-inspired fairy-dresses are the fitting culmination of Liza's recent Stardust fashion launch, with touches of fashion sprinkled throughout the two designs, making the dresses more contemporary and appealing than ever before.

They feature made-to-measure couture bodices with structured boning and a stunning lace feature, layers and layers of silk organza, sequin tulle, tutu tulle and of course, glitter tulle.

Handmade flowers with Swarovski crystals and beautiful crystal embellishments adorn both dresses to make them dazzle.

Liza said she wanted to capture the enchanting spirit of the characters.

“From first glance you sense their personality and energy. What a fantastic gig! This is my childhood dream come true – the perfect mix of fairy tale magic, forward fashion and entertainment,” said Liza.

Revealed at a special media launch today in Liza’s new Hyde Park showroom, Harmony and Rhapsody performed “Fairy Ballet” to more than eight lucky children who got a private performance. Media also heard from Jen Watts, MD of the Fairies, who was thrilled with the end result.

“These gowns are just gorgeous and the timing of the collaboration is perfect! We have some very exciting activities happening in the next six months, including a Christmas release of our live stage show through Greater Union and our first ever feature film – it was only fitting that we gave our fairies a new look.”

“Liza has created fairy-dresses that are whimsical, magical and beautiful, plus she has used her past dance training to ensure the fairy dresses allow The Fairies to dance en pointe to the delight of their enthralled fairy fans – the dresses are dreamlike, mystical and charming,” she said.

The Fairies will road test their brand new couture fairy-dresses for the first time tomorrow at a special preview show of The Fairies Christmas Ballet at the Norwood Concert Hall and the public will get to see them on Tour.

The dresses have been released on the eve of The Fairies Christmas Ballet national tour which is showing in Adelaide on Tuesday the 1st and Wednesday the 2nd of November.
