One of London’s hottest dining tickets is making its way to Adelaide, with Michelin-recognised restaurant Whyte’s set to take over Canopy Bar for an exclusive two-night residency as part of its final global tour.
After enchanting diners across more than 35 cities worldwide, the cult favourite London restaurant is bringing its signature dining experience to Australia, with Adelaide confirmed as the final Aussie stop.
Founded by acclaimed chef Whyte Rushen and Livi Akers, Whyte’s first made waves in London’s Hackney, where its intimate 30-seat open kitchen quickly became one of the city’s most sought-after reservations. Known for its changing monthly menus and a bold, immersive approach to dining, the restaurant soon caught the Michelin Guide’s attention and developed a fiercely loyal following.
Since then, Whyte’s has taken its concept global, staging one-off residencies in Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul, New York, Barcelona, and Mexico City. Now, Adelaide gets its turn.
For two nights only, Whyte’s will collaborate with Canopy Bar, delivering an exclusive snack-led à la carte menu inspired by local ingredients and infused with the restaurant’s unmistakable London edge.
Alongside the menu, guests can expect an extraordinary by-the-glass wine lineup featuring 50-year-old red Burgundy, 20-year-old Barossa Shiraz, Tempier Rosé, and an indulgent selection of Champagne flights. Canopy’s acclaimed cocktail program and extensive international wine list will also be available throughout the residency.
Canopy has become one of Adelaide’s premier destinations for world-class collaborations, previously hosting internationally acclaimed names including Tippling Club’s Ryan Clift, along with local culinary heavyweights Justin James and Fabian Lehmann.
The venue’s lush interiors, polished service, and effortlessly sophisticated atmosphere make it the perfect backdrop for Whyte’s final Australian showcase. This residency is also the final stop in Whyte’s remarkable global journey, which has seen the team reinterpret local cuisines through their distinctly London lens across five continents.
Reservations will run in 90-minute sittings from 5:30pm to 10pm, with walk-ins also welcome, though booking ahead is strongly recommended. Given Canopy’s track record for sell-out events, and Whyte’s reputation for drawing crowds worldwide, this is one residency you’ll want to lock in early.
