Grab a trailer. No, actually borrow a ute. In fact, why not just hire a massive bloody tour bus for yourself. The point is that there is a Pallet Sale on this weekend at ArtWine Cellars in Woodside. Stock up, get it home then invite your friends around for an epic winter session. Or hoard it on your own and never leave your house again, like a hermit. Both are equally valid.
ArtWine are about to release some new wine varieties and some new vintages, so to make way they have to clean out the cellar. All that means, is you’re getting ridiculous bargains. But only this weekend.
ArtWine’s focus is on alternative, new emerging varieties alongside the classic varietals. The fruit is all estate grown and single vineyard, with several alternatives planted well over 14 years ago. These wines are just begging to be paired with food, with owners Judy and Glen Kelly adamant that the future of Australian wine lies in the newer alternative European varieties that do so well here. They have already won several awards by sticking to this ethos.
Which means you really better get ready to take a drive this weekend to their Cellar Door at 72 Bird in Hand Rd, Woodside. They’ll be open from 11am to 5pm only. Better bring a truck.
