Lot Fourteen searches for next healthy coffee bar

Adelaide’s hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, Lot Fourteen, is looking for a new healthy coffee bar to set up shop. Apply before 20 June.

Lot Fourteen is looking for a new, healthy coffee bar to join the bustling hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, research, education, culture, and tourism.

Reflecting the innovation district’s wellness credentials, the coffee bar will provide healthy, fresh and convenient ‘grab and go’ brekkies and lunches, together with take-away coffees and drinks, while having a strong focus on South Australian produce.

Servicing the 1,300 people working at Lot Fourteen, alongside visitors and construction contractors, the new coffee bar will be located within the beautifully renovated, Heritage listed Bice Building and will complement facilities already onsite.

The 30 square metre coffee bar with serving window, will be housed alongside a new public information centre (to open in mid-2022) and open onto a paved courtyard on North Terrace.

State Project Lead for Lot Fourteen, Di Dixon says of the new addition that each retail outlet helps stitch the innovation district together.

“As Lot Fourteen develops, we are injecting life and energy into its fabric, while providing an inspirational canvas where interesting and exciting things happen every day.

“Lot Fourteen is being created as a place for everyone to come, be inspired and enjoy.”

Lot Fourteen is a WELL rated, healthy and sustainable community. The state government suggests proposals from prospective operators should have social responsibility values to reduce the district’s environmental impact and encourage healthy lifestyles.

It is also suggested proposals reflect the aspirations of Lot Fourteen, by inclusion of First Nations businesses and staff within the operators offering and/or supply chain.

Lot Fourteen is ideally positioned within the Adelaide CBD on our premier North Terrace cultural boulevard, alongside university campuses and nestled in the Adelaide Park Lands, overlooking the Adelaide Botanic Garden and an extension of the bustling Adelaide East End entertainment precinct.

The Lot Fourteen Project is seeking a highly experienced and innovative hospitality operator for the coffee bar, with proposals sought by Monday 20 June 2022.

Lot Fourteen is conveniently positioned within the Adelaide CBD alongside university campuses and Adelaide park lands. Overlooking the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the area is the perfect place to stop for a quick coffee before work.

The innovation district offers greater economic, social and cultural prosperity, and is part of the South Australia’s innovation network.

They have attracted some of the world’s most innovative brands and businesses including Australian Space Agency and Australian Cyber Collaboration.
