Torrens Transit has stepped up for a great cause, raising $3,241 for Loud Shirt Day to support deaf and hard of hearing children through Can:Do 4Kids.
Staff across multiple depots embraced the celebration with bright, bold shirts and a series of fundraising activities that helped drive the total past the three-thousand-dollar mark. Loud Shirt Day is a nationwide initiative dedicated to helping Can:Do 4Kids provide early intervention, support services, and advanced hearing technologies for children who are deaf, blind, hard of hearing, have low vision, or face developmental challenges.
Torrens Transit Managing Director Andrew Jenkinson said, “This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the generosity, enthusiasm, and commitment of our people to supporting such an important cause. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who championed the fundraising activities across our depots.”
He added that the strong leadership and teamwork displayed across the organisation played a vital role in delivering this year’s impressive result. The money raised will help fund essential programs that ensure children who are deaf or hard of hearing can access early intervention support and cutting-edge technology.
