There are no two ways about it – this is news that’s going to get you super excited, or make you spiral into a vortex of angry-tagging on Facebook.
McLaren Vale’s Settlers Spirits have launched a new gin incorporating possibly the most divisive ingredient on the planet: coriander.
Made from distilled McLaren Vale wine, the Coriander Leaf Gin is bursting with flavours of bright citrus, and of course, coriander.
Drink it neat, over ice, or as a G&T garnished with fresh lime. It’ll pair up nicely with a seafood dish or modern Asian.
So why use coriander? Well the ancient Egyptians believed that coriander could be used as food in the afterlife and we think they had the right idea. Plenty of sane people also know it makes literally everything it touches taste immensely better. Pile me up baby.
And the rest of the population. Might not be your cup of tea.
If you’re not the biggest fan of coriander, the tasting notes say the gin, “has great palate weight with a long finish that just lingers on forever.” Soooo just consider this your warning.
Keen as a bean? You can buy the gin right here.
