Love & Mutiny is the 1950s pink beach shack you need to visit

This vintage fishing shack has been transformed into a colourful getaway for up to 4 people, complete with cocktail station, record player and beach fire pit.

The second insta-worthy property from sister duo Emma Read and Sarah Hall, the exterior of Love & Mutiny could be mistaken for Adelaide’s answer to Barbie’s Beach House, a pink, ocean-facing beach shack situated on the stunning Yorke Peninsula.

Using their talents as interior specialists, the siblings have transformed this beachside fishing shack into a coastal getaway Palm Springs wonderland, complete with spacious balcony, record player, fully equipped and two queen-sized bedrooms.

Looking to create a space that they themselves would love to stay in, Emma and Sarah have decked out the property in vivid splashes of coral pink, forrest green and mustard with thoughtful touches throughout the shack including a personalised home fragrance, cocktail-making station, hammocks and a beach front fire pit.

The specially created home fragrance has been created as a bespoke souvenir for guests to purchase as a memory to treasure of their stay at the property, with a box of matches and colourful posters also available.

The two-bedroom shack, situated between Maitland and Port Victoria, offers you a tranquil, beachfront getaway amongst a smattering of nearby vintage shacks with unrivalled views that allow you to watch a calming moon rise from one side of the property, and heavenly sunsets from the other.

Just a two-hour drive from Adelaide, the shack has been inundated with bookings already, with couples and small groups eager to experience a stay in this truly unique property.

You can watch the tides roll in from the comfort of your own bed, sleeping on a soft cloud of French linen before sipping a freshly-made French press coffee out on the balcony, complete with plush outdoor furnishings.

With no Wi-Fi or TV on the property this is the perfect chance to escape with a partner or friends for a beachfront getaway in this truly unique space, that hits the elusive sweet spot of the perfect mix between contemporary and vintage.

A stay at Love & Mutiny will set you back from $406 per night.
