Love Pinot? This Gourmet Pinot Dinner In The Dark Sounds Amazing

If you’re a Pinot lover, you can’t go past Mt Lofty Ranges Winery’s unique ‘Pinot In The Dark’ dinner at the end of July.

It’s July in South Australia, which means that our much-loved Winter food and wine festival ‘Winter Reds’ is just around the corner. This epic three day event is held across some of the best wineries in the Adelaide Hills, with a generous dose of cracking events to fill your diaries.

If you’re a Pinot lover, you can’t go past Mt Lofty Ranges Winery’s unique ‘Pinot In The Dark’ dinner at the end of July. If you’re looking for one special dinner this season, this is it.

This five star boutique winery, known for its gorgeous 360 degree central fireplace, reclaimed timbers and galvanized iron, is again hosting one of its flagship events.

The 4-course matched dinner features eight consecutive vintages of Pinot Noir, hosted by winemakers Sharon and Garry.

Mt. Lofty’s single variety vineyard is hand pruned and picked the rare, old-fashioned way. Over dinner, taste the subtle difference of each vintage under the guidance of Sharon. Every layer of understanding adds to the pleasure, just when you thought you couldn’t enjoy wine any more!

As for the food, well take it from me, you can’t beat duck and Pinot. One of the featured courses of the night will be an incredible duck dish, with the ducks being specially reared for the occasion by Lenswood chicken farmer Cary Schultz as part of the four course meal. With two Pinots per course, you’re definitely going to leave satisfied.

Come solo, book a romantic night out with your partner, or grab a group. This event suits anyone who loves Pinot, great food, and beautiful ambiance.

Places are limited and bookings essential. $165 per person.

There are two nights you can book the dinner, 27th and 28th July, with the event starting at 7pm each night, running to 10:30pm.

Bus pickup is available from the city – for transport info call Nathan on 0400 939939.
