Mix 102.3 is thrilled to welcome back much-loved South Australian media personality Rebecca (Bec) Morse, who will join Max Burford on Hayley & Max in the Mornings while Hayley Pearson takes a short break.
Bec will co-host the breakfast show for two special mornings – Wednesday 8 October and Thursday 9 October – bringing her trademark warmth, humour, and deep connection with Adelaide listeners back to the airwaves.
Mix 102.3 Content Director Stephen Werner said the team was excited to have Bec back behind the mic.
“Bec has been featured on our show as a guest a couple of times and we’re so excited to have her back with us to cohost with Max. She brings such a great mix of warmth and humour, and she connects with our audience in a really genuine way,” he said.
Rebecca Morse’s professional journey includes a 14-year tenure as a presenter for ’10 News First’, where she became a household name from 2006 to 2020. She also impressed listeners with her charm and wit on SAFM’s breakfast radio programme, ‘Bec & Soda’ in 2023 and 2024. Beyond broadcasting, Morse has a track record of successful appearances as an MC at high-profile events, bringing her expertise and personality to various galas, charity events, and corporate functions.
Bec said she’s thrilled to be returning to radio, even if just for a short stint.
“After a year away from breakfast radio catching up on sleep, I’m so keen to jump back behind the mic for Hayley for a couple of mornings,” she said. “Max and I are old mates from my Channel 10 days, and he can expect to be held accountable for that new hairstyle and his dog’s Instagram account.”
Hayley Pearson gave her full support to the temporary switch.
“I couldn’t think of anyone better to keep the show rolling. This isn’t her first rodeo — she’ll bring the laughs, the heart, and that special Adelaide connection. She’s perfect,” she said.
Listeners can tune in to Hayley & Max in the Mornings on Mix 102.3, weekdays from 6am to 9am, for all the local laughs, stories, and feel-good energy, with a little extra sparkle from Bec Morse this week.
