In exactly three months, the curtain rises on one of Australia’s largest multicultural events on the national festival calendar. Edging towards its 40 anniversary year in 2016, Carnevale Adelaide shows no signs of middle age or slowing down and is as vibrant and popular as ever.

Carnevale is proud to trumpet ‘something for everyone’ and on this score it duly delivers. Four stages – Carnevale, Youth, Kids, Fashion – are in operation as well as a myriad of attractions which delights patrons year after year.

Headliner Moreno Fruzzetti, direct from the USA and exclusive to Adelaide, returns by popular demand with his varied repertoire ranging from operatic arias, popular classics, ballads and traditional Italian songs. Others to appear are world champion accordionists, Cameli and Santella, outrageous pop music artists, Jungle Jooce and the ever popular Band of SA Police amid a line-up of local favourites.

Younger people are not forgotten and the Youth Stage is set to entertain and inspire with belly dancers, pop girl groups Allegria and The Rubys and bands Mr Buzzy, California Cousins and Three Star General among many. As well, the Kids Corner with craft activities, schools’ displays and entertainment from Star Academy, magician Steve Presto and Katie Wright Dynamite with her interactive solo circus skill show.

Throw in traditional cuisine, fashion shows, vehicle parades of Ferrari, Fiat, Ducati, Alfa Romeo, Scuderia Italia, exhibitions, forums, Brasilia Coffee barista demos and San Remo cooking mastercalsses and the public is in for a fun-filled weekend – a slice of Italian life in Adelaide!
