You can now level up your barbecue game thanks to the guys at Low & Slow American BBQ.

The Port Adelaide restaurant has released takeaway versions of the sauces, housemade pickles, and BBQ rubs that have helped make the spot so popular. The restaurant has launched a smoked tomato BBQ sauce, Carolina mustard BBQ sauce, Leigh Street-style green tomato pickle, bread and butter pickles, and an “all-purpose” meat rub as part of the drop.

Customers have devoured their much-loved sauces and garnishes on menu items such as pork ribs, hot wings, beef brisket, and more for years, so many will be thrilled they can now seek to emulate their favourite dishes right from home. Other popular eats on the menu include ‘slaw, mac ‘n’ cheese, potato salad, tater tots, collard greens, and cornbread. They also have a weekly dessert written on a chalk board in the venue.

Low & Slow American BBQ’s Port Adelaide venue was opened in 2015 by high school buddies Angus Henderson, Angus Kiley and Jim Morrison. The three friends and BBQ masters’ brick-and-mortar restaurant came after an inspiring foodie road trip to the United States and the success of their cult food truck of the same name.

The business owners and barbecue sauce extraordinaires are excited for their most recent project, and they’re happy to finally be sharing their sought-after homemade products with their community.

“IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING,” they write.

“After nearly 6 years of you asking, we’re finally selling our sauces, rubs and house made pickles.”
