An audience of over one million TV viewers await Adelaide band Lowrider who have scored a massive coup in being asked to perform in the final Home and Away cliff-hanging 1.5hr episode for 2013 which airs on 27 November on Channel 7.

As the most played band on Home and Away, Lowrider regularly receive messages from fans when songs appear in the show but have not actually appeared on set prior to this tension packed finale.

The band filmed a live mini-concert for the show including new single ‘In My Arms’ – the third off their acclaimed ‘Black Stones’ album, as part of a scene that will have fans on the edge of their seats as the storyline unfolds and the series heads into its summer hiatus.

Of filming the episode, Lowrider’s Paul Bartlett said ‘We couldn’t believe the scale of this set when we rocked up, it  was like arriving at an actual festival, and we’ve been to a few. They even had food stalls working and if the festival becomes an annual  event I can recommend the taco van”  he said.  “We ended up hanging out and having dinner with Johnny Ruffo and Nick Westaway afterwards – they’re both great guys and the entire experience was amazing.”

For Lowrider, the Home and Away appearance coincides with their pre-Christmas mini tour starting in Melbourne this week and finishing at The Gov in Adelaide early December.

Fans can expect a party as only the ARIA nominated Lowrider can turn on at the shows with the band digging deep into their origins in a chronological ‘best of’ set covering songs from all three of their albums released over their decade long career – plus a few surprises thrown in and as with most of the band’s shows, sell-outs are expected.
