The much-awaited OzAsia Festival is once again bringing a feast to Adelaide with the return of the very popular Lucky Dumpling Market. The springtime food and entertainment event is set to pop up at Elder Park during the festival, which runs from October 24th to November 10th.
The full program drops on August 1st.
The Market offers an array of delicious Asian cuisine crafted by the best local vendors. They’ll cook up delicious food from Korea, Vietnam, India, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Turkey.
From dumplings and noodles to bao, salads, and curries, the market promises to transport visitors to the bustling street markets of Asia.
In previous years, the market had a huge line-up of vendors, including new and returning favourites. Phat Head, GANG GANG, Humpty Dumplings, Momo Shop and more have been in the line up. We’re holding out for this year’s list of food stalls, which we’re sure will impress yet again.
Beyond its food offerings, Lucky Dumpling Market is also a vibrant cultural space that combines premium wine and beer with live entertainment.
The outdoor Lucky Beats stage traditionally hosts a selection of performances featuring local, national, and international contemporary music acts, which in the past has included renowned names like Emily Wurramara, 1300, Jade Zoe, Jaguar Jonze, Singapore’s SAtheCollective, and more.
Located at Elder Park on the Adelaide Riverbank, Lucky Dumpling Market offers attendees an open-air experience under shade structures. Entry can be accessed via the riverbank pathway on the northern side of Elder Park or King William Road on the park’s southern side.
Lucky Dumpling Market’s return is a part of the OzAsia Festival, which is known as Australia’s leading contemporary arts festival engaging with Asia. While the Lucky Dumpling Market stage hosts free entertainment, the OzAsia Festival will also be unveiling its program of events you can head to shortly.
Lucky Dumpling Market is a collaborative effort between the team behind Gluttony and the OzAsia Festival. With its diverse food offerings, cultural performances, and lively ambiance, this market is set to be a highlight of the festival, inviting locals and visitors to celebrate the flavours and spirit of Asia right in the heart of Adelaide.
In addition the market, we’re also set to welcome back the Moon Lantern Trail, which is a crowd favourite. But for the full details, we’ll just have to wait for the program launch! In the meantime, mark the dates down in your calendar so you don’t miss out!
