The Lucky Dumpling Markets Are Back

Vietnamese bao buns, butter chicken dumplings, and ube ice cream anyone?

Adelaide! It’s finally here! The best day of the year! Forget Christmas, forget your birthday—the Lucky Dumpling Markets open their doors from 4:30pm today and run until Sunday 11th November.

This lively hub along the gorgeous River Torrens boasts flavours and vibes that will transport you to the street markets of Asia. The marketplace welcomes back The Filipino Project who are bringing their famed ube (purple yam) ice-cream, Sooki La La with our fave crispy chicken and papaya salad, and Bao+ (Astonish Patissarie) for you to gorge yourself on gua bao buns (the only way to eat them)!

You can also expect to see fan favourite TMR Dumplings with delicious Vietnamese dumplings, Teppanyaki Noodles serving up Japanese noodles and yakitori, and Toly Gourmet, alongside Kbap dishing up the tastiest Korean street food and Ragi’s Spicery who are introducing the best fusion of all—butter chicken dumplings.

This year, newbies Humpty Dumplings are serving up Chinese dumplings and laksa, and Gas Station are bringing the Asian-inspired burgers, hot dogs, and fries. You’ll be spoiled for choice!

And if that’s not exciting enough, drinks are being poured by Bubble Bus Bubble Tea, Chez Coffee Co, Lucky Wine Bar, and the Coopers Bar. Plus new addition, the Lucky Sake Bar, who are offering a carefully curated range of sake and Japanese beer.

The Lucky Dumpling Market will also host entertainment including some of the best local and international bands. There’s a gorgeous mix of local and international Australian artists and a number of Asian artists representing the international music scene. Check out who’s playing each night here.

Grooving to smooth tunes while noshing on the best Asian food and drink South Australia has to offer? The Lucky Dumpling Markets are literally your dream come true.

The market kicks off tonight and runs until Sunday 11th November and is open from Tuesday to Friday from 4:30pm till late and noon till late on the weekends (they’ll be closed Mondays though).
