AFF2013-AdelaideMagazine-FPThe City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, host of the 2013 Adelaide Fashion Festival, has announced Lucy Bayet as the Face of the 2013 Adelaide Fashion Festival at the launch of the Face event, held at the National Wine Centre.
The event was attended by media, designers, Sponsors, Event Partners and VIPs to celebrate the unveiling as well as a preview of the 2013 Official Program.
Face of the Adelaide Fashion Festival, Lucy Bayet, said:
“I am very excited to be The Face of the 2013 Adelaide Fashion Festival. The Festival is an important celebration of Adelaide’s fashion landscape showcasing its emerging, established and timeless designers and retail. It is a privilege to be in my home town to help celebrate the best of Adelaide’s fashion.”
Lucy Bayet was discovered by her mother agency, Adelaide’s Finesse Models at the age of fourteen. Her natural ability to capture grace, femininity and authenticity as a model quickly earned her a signing by Chadwick Models Sydney, Harry’s Models Germany, Wilhelmina New York, Union Models London and IMG Paris.
Through this network of agencies, Lucy has become one of Australia’s leading commercial models working in UK and European markets including MaxFactor, Triumph, Olay, Nutrimetics, Fiat and many other brands.
Bayet was selected as The Face of the Adelaide Fashion Festival because of her achievements as an excellent role model for women with curves, as she does not posses the standard model B cup measurement. She is also a role model for her spirit and determination in overcoming serious illness, from which she is now in remission.
Lucy Bayet wore a gown by George Gross Harry Who made especially for their forty-year celebration, dripping in pearls and crystals weighing twelve kilograms. Hair prepared by Lucy Iasenzaniro for AFF13 Sponsor, Kevin Murphy and make up by AFF13 Sponsor, Make-Up Studio.
The 2013 Adelaide Fashion Festival returns for its sixth consecutive year to celebrate Adelaide’s emerging and established design talent.
Adelaide Fashion Festival 2013 event tickets go on sale Thursday, 22nd August.
