Lukoumades, one of Adelaide’s premier greek donut destinations, has bid adieu to its Henley Beach location.

The announcement, shared by the Lukoumades team, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to their cherished patrons while revealing the closure of the beloved seaside spot.

“Dear our valued customers, thank you for your support over the years,” the post read.

“Unfortunately, we have decided to close our Henley Beach location.”

Gracing the seaside suburb since 2018, Lukoumades earned a special place in the hearts of both locals and surrounds, becoming a go to after dinner hangout to crave that late night sugar craving or popping down to try their latest creation.

From classic honey and cinnamon to Nutella and Oreo toppings, there’s a Lukoumades creation to suit every taste.

While the Henley Beach era is coming to an end, the owners revealed you will still be able to get your hands on their sweet treats, saying their Hyde Park location is still open for business along with their food truck that can be spotted at events.

The closure has already left many passionate dessertgoers saddened by the abrupt announcement, with customers taking to social media to reminisce about their many memories and favourite treats.

“Oh no, I’m a regular at your Henley Beach store, but that’s okay. I will still see you guys in Hyde Park,” Angela wrote.

The announcement comes off the back of a number of beloved restaurants and clubs to closing their doors in the new years.

Earlier in this month, beloved pizza venue Lost in the Forest announced they would no longer be trading in the new year, while premium restaurant Five Regions will close on January 13, paving the way for an innovative private dining experience.
