Lunar Landing has unleashed their new range of desserts, and they’re both eye-catching, and mouth-wateringly delicious. The super realistic dessert range features various fruits that look so authentic you could easily mistake them for a genuine piece of fruit sitting on the plate in front of you, but the illusion is in fact a cleverly constructed cake that will absolutely blow your mind.

A truly sensory experience, the range features a fig cake with a honeyberry flavour, a refreshing lychee cake with a filling that’s both sweet and tart, a Japanese-inspired pink and white strawberry, and a lemon cake that is sour and sweet and oozing with deliciousness. More a fan of vegetables? There’s also a smooth and creamy pumpkin cake that absolutely looks like the real thing. Oh, and there’s a realistic cookie cake with hazelnut praline and sponge, that is to die for.

The venue, a sweet-tooth’s delight in Adelaide’s inner west, officially opened their doors in June of 2024, and have been unapologetically raising the bar since they stepped onto the dessert scene. The menu is seasonal and combines traditional English desserts with innovative Southeast Asian flavours, making Lunar Landing a hit with foodies all across South Australia.

“Lunar Landing is something special for the evening; a dessert bar first and foremost,” Lunar Landing Co-Owner Andre Penascoza told Glam Adelaide in 2024. “I guess we want to have a more elevated experience in Adelaide… it’s a very niche market,” he said.

Just in time for Christmas, the venue has also prepared a range of specialty festive cakes that you can order through their website. Consider their incredibly realistic Christmas gift cake – a decadent dark chocolate mousse cake, which is layered with a vibrant and wickedly citrusy cherry compote, and topped off with a red velvet–style cocoa spray and a hand-crafted white chocolate bow – you won’t want to miss out on this one!

The new realistic dessert range only raises the venue’s status to even greater heights, but if more traditional cakes are what takes your fancy, they also offer a variety of cheesecakes and shortcakes, with flavour combinations that are out of this world.

Open for dessert only or for a casual dining experience, Lunar Landing is the place to be.
