Luxe Australian luggage and travel brand ‘July’ finally lands in SA this week

Elevate your travel experience this season with luggage and travel accessories brand ‘July’ opening in Adelaide.

Melbourne-born luggage and travel accessories brand, ‘July’ has touched down in Adelaide, officially opening the doors to its brick and mortar store in Burnside this week.

The sleek, 109-square-metre space joins the newly redeveloped Burnside Village precinct, adding to its growing portfolio of luxury of bespoke brands.

The Burnside store is July’s 29th location globally, having already made its way onto Selfridges shelves and parts of Asia, and will offer July’s complete collection of innovative products.

The new store’s design, created in collaboration with In Addition architects and Trust Projects builders, stays true to July’s clean, functional aesthetic, offering a tactile, in-person extension of the brand’s online presence.

“We’re thrilled to finally land in South Australia,” said July Founder Athan Didaskalou.

“Adelaide gets good design, and locals have supported us online from day one. Now South Australians can actually touch and feel the July difference in person rather than seeing it on a screen.”

Founded in 2019 by Athan Didaskalou and Richard Li, ‘July’ was born from thoughtful research into the pain points and desires of travellers. The duo spoke with hundreds of frequent flyers and read thousands of reviews online to create a brainchild that ticks everyone’s boxes, equal parts practical and premium.

German polycarbonate shell and SilentMove wheels are just the start. Every product is built to upgrade the travel experience, creating a journey of pleasure and without compromising on budget. Each piece is ergonomically driven and the sleek, minimalist design makes it palatable for all aesthetic preferences. Move smoothly between gates, across the tarmac and even over cobblestones, and look good while doing it.

The range includes all the travel essentials – suitcases, tote bags, crossbody bags, backpacks, belt bags, cosmetic cases, card holders, drink bottles and more, each backed by a lifetime warranty on manufacturing faults.

Gregg Downer, CEO of Cohen Group, which owns Burnside Village, says the arrival of July is a major milestone for Burnside Village.

“We’re confident the distinctive ‘July experience’ will be a valuable addition to our retail mix, further elevating the Burnside Village offering,” he said.

Known for its curated selection of fashion, lifestyle, and premium dining, Burnside Village continues to evolve as a prime destination for shoppers after quality, and July’s arrival only sharpens its edge. New additions also include UNIQLO, Seafolly and expanded Zara, among others.

Whether you’re planning a quick city break or that long-overdue overseas escape, July’s new flagship gives us a reason to travel better, and shop local while doing it. Book the flight, and start visualising your next trip in style.
