Plans to build 20 breathtaking cabins just above the pristine shores of Kangaroo Island have been proposed, each promising a feast for the senses with unparalleled views at every turn.

Titled ‘AUTRA Resort’, each cabin proposes to boast a spacious floor area of 50 square meters and will be crafted to withstand the rugged charms of the marine environment, the exterior of these cabins blends seamlessly with the coastal landscape, offering a harmonious retreat for nature enthusiasts and adventurers alike.

But it’s not just about the aesthetics; these cabins are designed for unforgettable experiences. Picture yourself and a loved one unwinding in cozy comfort, as the gentle sea breeze whispers secrets of the island’s enchanting allure. Whether you’re seeking a romantic escape or an adventure-filled getaway, each cabin invites you to immerse yourself in the island’s magic for two for up to five unforgettable days.

“The development has been sited and designed to provide an authentic, natural experience for visitors to Kangaroo Island, whilst still being of a scale and intensity that allows it to be considered as subservient to the natural environmental setting,” the report stated.

“The proposed structures will be set back an appropriate distance from environmental features
and the coast.”

Just located a stones throw from the iconic Cape Willoughby Lighthouse to the rich heritage of its surrounding landscape, you will be blown away by the island’s timeless beauty.

Cape Willoughby was the first lighthouse to be erected in South Australia, and lights the Backstairs Passage between Kangaroo Island and the mainland. Surrounding the tourist attraction is also the Cape Willoughby Conservation Park, where guests will be able to enjoy dedicated areas for bushwalking, whale watching, mountain biking and any other outdoor activities guests wish to embark on.

With dedicated staff on hand to ensure your comfort and convenience, your only task is to surrender to island life and create memories to last a lifetime.
