Come for lunch, stay for a massage with Patch Kitchen & Garden opening the doors to their latest wellness venture, The Barn Clinic!

Nestled at the back of the ever-popular Stirling café lies the luxury retreat, South Australia’s latest day spa and a hidden gem amongst the leafy green Adelaide Hills.

“At the moment, there is a big push for wellness industry in the Adelaide Hills,” says Patch owner Ben Barnett.

“We have always been about local, seasonal produce and organic where you can, so it was just a natural progression for us to move into the wellness industry.”

Quietly opening its doors this year, The Barn is the perfect place to escape to the hustle and bustle of city life and get all your knots and niggles worked out.

Massage therapist and kinesiologist Belle Ellery and acupuncturist Ben Waters are the resident wellness gurus who will transport you to a world of relaxation with their talented skills.

Currently, Ben and Belle will be working from Wednesday through to Friday, with plans underway for The Barn Clinic to extend trading hours with the addition of more wellness therapists soon.

Taking up residence in Patch’s previous florist space, the stone-walled barn has transformed into a tranquil oasis, decorated with artwork by local artists and an array of funky succulent plants grown by Barnett’s 9-year-old son.

“The rooms are gorgeous, unique, cosy, cute and a little quirky with their rough old stonework and high raked timber ceilings,” says Ben.

The Barn Clinic stemmed from Barnett and his partner Dr Gemma Munro’s time living at Patch during the pandemic last year, where the duo planned to transform the beloved cafe, restaurant and function space into a stunning wellness centre.

While renovation plans are on the back-burner, the pair harnessed their passion for all things community and wellness when creating the beautiful space, with the clinic an idyllic spot to receive some well-earned TLC.

Since opening in 2014, the crux of Patch Kitchen & Garden’s ethos has always been about fostering and supporting the community, with the handsome villa and retail spot quickly becoming a vibrant hub where Stirling residents and Adelaidians relax, connect and enjoy the stunning Hills landscape.
